Podcasts: What I’m Listening to Now

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m obsessed with my podcasts. I don’t shut up about them and find a way to bring them up in most conversations. I just love learning, entertainment and efficiency and podcasts are kind of the combination of all of those things. Here’s how:

  • Learning: Some of my podcasts are educational. I like to listen to stuff about entrepreneurship, new research, health and wellness and more. I find that it’s the perfect way to brush up on the latest news.

  • Entertainment: I don’t just listen to boring podcasts. I listen to fun stuff too. Bachelor recaps, Vanderpump Rules gossip, Comedy… there are SO many options.

  • Efficiency: Here’s the thing about audio… you don’t have to pay attention to the image. It’s sort of like music but music is more for running, podcasts are for everything else.

People ask me all the time what I’m listening to so I figured I’d share just a few of my favorite podcasts with you with just a little bit about them!

Let’s go!

  1. The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast: Most people know by now that I take everything Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential says as doctrine. She has the BEST beauty and wellness tips and every time I try something that she suggests, I’m hooked. I’ve been following along with her popular blog for years now but since her and her husband Michael Bosstick launched their chart-topping podcast, I can’t wait to tune in every Tuesday. Oh, and you can binge listen to their old episodes. It’s a thing. It’s sort of like binge watching a TV show but you can do so many other things at the same time! Like shower (I have a bluetooth shower radio), drive, clean, cook, you name it! I love this one because they always have really amazing guests on who are the top of their field. It’s a great way to learn a little bit about everything! And I really appreciate Lauryn and Michael’s witty banter!

  2. The Tim Ferriss Show: Business guru Tim Ferriss interviews some of the most powerful and inspiring people in the world. Basically, really amazing people come on the show and share some of their secrets to success, productivity hacks and lessons learned. Tons of amazing content here.

  3. Betch Slapped: Bloggers turned instagram meme making sensations, “The Betches” talk current events and reality TV on their podcast. They also have two spinoff podcasts which I also greatly enjoy: The Betchelor which is basically a spoken version of their hilarious Bachelor recaps and the U Up? Podcast which they co-host with comedian Jared Freid who provides the male perspective to common millennial female problems.

  4. The Balanced Blonde Soul on Fire Podcast: Who remembers when vegan blogger Jordan Younger became a not-vegan blogger and the entire vegan community went crazy? Well, she has a really great podcast where she brings on fellow bloggers in the wellness space, wellness professionals and brings a more holistic approach to health to the table. This is where I go when I want to learn about acupuncture, cupping, yoga retreats and matcha.

  5. Food Psych Podcast: Christy Harrison, MPH, RD, CDN is one of the most well respected dietitians in the “Healthy at Every Size” movement. She brings up some tough and thought provoking topics in respect to our diet culture, intuitive eating, and dieting. Whether or not you believe in everything she and her guests say, I think this is a good one to have on your radar!

  6. The GaryVee Audio Experience: Last but CERTAINLY not least… Gary Vaynerchuk is one of entrepreneurs and speakers out there. He is always ahead of his time, investing in social media before social media was a thing, He’s cool and wears t-shirts and K-Swiss sneakers to meetings and breaks all sort of rules. He fires me up everyday.

So there you have it. My ride or die podcasts that I don’t miss an episode of. I have a bunch of others in my library that I scroll through and listen to but just less frequently. Some others of note: Straight Up With Stassi, Vanderpump Rules Party, The Morning Breath, Nourishing Women Podcast, That’s So Maven, and The Influencer Podcast!
